Softball (Roswell, Ga.)

“Ali did an amazing job of making herself a great leader. She worked hard, didn’t make excuses when things were not great, was honest with her teammates and coaches,  put the team first and showed a great deal of both physical and mental toughness.” – Kris Herman, Head Coach

In her final at-bat as an Eph on Monday, Hart drove a two-run homer to right field in the bottom of the fifth, extending the women’s lead to nine over MCLA. Hart went 3-4 with three RBIs and two runs en route to an 11-2 victory in the final game of the season. The home run was a fitting way to end a spectacular senior season. Hitting a conference best .540, Hart set six single-season Williams records this week, including at-bats (137), runs scored (49), hits (74), doubles (14), total bases (109) and stolen bases (22).

Baseball (Westfield, N.J.)

“No one has worked harder than Harry. He has been an outstanding captain and has stepped up big time in his senior year. This past Saturday we needed a win and he delivered with a no-hitter.  It was truly a remarkable performance, and one I will never forget.” – Bill Barrale, Head Coach

Marino went 2-0 on the week, collecting wins over Hamilton on Saturday and RPI on Wednesday. In his final home start on Bobby Coombs Field, Marino tossed the first Eph no-hitter in recent memory. Marino struck out 10 Hamilton batters and helped secure an 8-0 shutout of the Continentals. For his efforts on Saturday, Marino earned his second NESCAC Pitcher of the Week honors. Over the course of the season, Marino amassed 53 strikouts and an impressive 3.47 ERA.
